I am a patient and enthusiastic chemistry tutor. I have a PhD in chemistry and have a thorough understanding of the material. Through graduate school and additional teaching experience at a local community college, I have over seven years experience engaging with and helping students. I have successfully taught and tutored students in high school and college both in a group setting and also one on one. I have a teacher's perspective of the material gained from teaching several general chemistry courses. But I also remember what it was like to be a student and learning the subject for the first (or second...) time. This unique perspective allows me to sympathize with your struggles while giving you the tools you need to succeed.

I pride myself on being able to explain complex concepts in a way that students can relate to and understand. As not everyone will learn in the same way, I work with you to determine the best way for you to grasp concepts and examples in order for you to be successful in your course. I talk about chemistry in a way that is relatable and possible to comprehend so it doesn't seem like such an abstract, unobtainable subject. I really enjoy being able to interact with and help students gain understanding in a subject matter to achieve their goals - whether to be a chemistry master or simply just to pass a course.
