I loved seeing the students understand the coursework and move up to the next level. Before I started college, I had worked at a Kumon where I had helped students from the ages of 5 to 13 with their math coursework as well as English. I loved seeing the students understand the coursework and move up to the next level. I was mostly designated as the higher level math tutor Kumon so I helped high school students with intro college level mathematics.

When I went to university, I had studied three different majors because I had a passion to learn. I studied psychology, applied mathematics as well as biochemistry. Although I had always found that my strongest major was applied mathematics because it makes sense once you learned the formulas, functions and general bigger picture.

I had tutored students at Kumon in mathematics for over a year and studied applied mathematics at Stony Brook University.

Don't be shy about asking for help or clarifications as that is the only way you will learn. Even if it has been covered already, repetition, hard work, and dedication is key to doing well.

Great teacher, nice person

Cheri really helped me a lot with our last lesson. She recommended an app for statistics that really helped. She not only went over some things I already learned but taught me new tips to grasp the information. It was a big help for my final. She also built my confidence and commended me for my effort, she’s a very nice person.
