OVERVIEW: I started my undergraduate studies at age 14 and majored in psychology and biology. I then completed a PhD in global health at a Top 20 university, winning over 30 nationally and internationally competitive scholarships/fellowships, including from Fulbright, National Institutes of Health, and National Science Foundation. I am currently a research scientist at Harvard.

I am a very patient person and know how to communicate complex ideas or processes in an approachable and easily digestible way. I want to equip you with the skills you need in the fewest number of sessions so that you can confidently move forward.

RESEARCH: I have extensive experience in public health and social science research, including project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. I am well-versed in both qualitative and quantitative methods and have over a decade of experience in using programs like R, MPlus, HLM, Excel, Dedoose, MAXQDA, Nvivo, and many others. Having applied for and secured a number of nationally competitive grants, I am also adept at research proposal development and grant writing. I can advise on your capstone, thesis, and dissertation design and analysis.

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS / PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP: I have mentored students at all levels (high school, undergraduate, MA and PhD, medical). My students have gone onto top programs throughout the U.S. A number have also won nationally and internationally competitive fellowships. As I understand the academic process can be complicated, I particularly enjoy demystifying the application process and helping people select appropriate programs and craft strong college application essays, personal statements, UC personal insight questions, statements of purpose, scholarship applications, and supplemental essays. I am also happy to help prep for upcoming interviews. I know what admissions committees are looking for. Once you are admitted, I can mentor you on how to make the best use of your time in those programs.
