Hi! My name is Amelia, and I’m a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I studied Psychology with minors in Neuroscience, Chemistry, and Hispanic Studies. Throughout my academic career, I developed a strong foundation in the biological and behavioral sciences, completing advanced coursework in neuroscience, chemistry, psychology, and Spanish. For the past four years, I have also worked in research settings studying brain injury, stroke recovery, and neural development in autism spectrum disorder. This work has strengthened my ability to analyze complex material, think critically, and translate challenging scientific concepts into clear, understandable explanations. I bring that same approach to tutoring by breaking down difficult topics into manageable parts and connecting them to real-world applications.
Through tutoring high school students and training undergraduate research assistants in the lab, I have gained several years of experience working with individuals across a wide range of learning styles and academic backgrounds. My approach begins with understanding your goals and how you learn best. From there, we focus on developing problem-solving strategies and building a solid conceptual foundation so you have the tools to approach new material with confidence. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable challenging themselves.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session. I look forward to working with you!
