I then became an adjunct math professor at Penn State University. Excellent SAT Tutor!

I am a student of Mark, who tutored me during the month before my SAT exam with classes twice a week. Mark’s concise explanations and fast methods of solving problems were instrumental in my success on the SAT, on which I scored a 1560 (my previous score being a 1460). For students who want to understand the why behind a problem, Mark is an excellent resource. He knows what kind of problems to expose students to and will help you understand where you went wrong in your own approach. Overall, I highly recommend him!

Mark tutored my son in both Math and English for the SAT over the course of seven sessions, and the experience was outstanding. They began with math, and from the very first lesson, my son felt confident in Mark’s expertise. Mark had a clear ability to explain concepts in a way that truly resonated with him. He quickly identified the areas where my son was struggling and focused their time on working through those specific problems. When they transitioned to English, Mark provided valuable strategies that helped my son better understand what each question was asking and how to identify the correct answers with confidence. With Mark's tutoring, my son was able to increase his SAT score by 140 points! I would highly recommend Mark and plan to work with him again when my daughter begins preparing for the SAT.

My daughter's scores came out today, and she got a 35 Math, up from a 25 prior to her 13 sessions with Mark. She's a kid who has aptitude but what she refers to as a "math allergy." I don't think she could have achieved this success without someone patient and calm like Mark. Her sessions with him lowered her anxiety and helped her learn how to solve the harder problems.

Effective Tutor

My daughter took the ACT several times and no matter how much she studied (self-study and private tutors), her score stayed at 29 or under. She started working with Mark about 2 weeks before the 9/5 ACT. She had a total of 5 lessons. Her score increased 3 points to a 32. I can only wonder how far Mark could have taken her had they had more time. Needless to say, we recommend Mark. He is very organized, easy to work and study with, identifies the needed areas for the improvement and makes the student work!
