Anna M. S. (bio)
Dr. S. graduated from one of Russia’s elite universities with a bachelor’s degree in history and philology and completed her undergraduate education in Germany and the UK. She also holds an associate bachelor’s degree in art history and applied arts. Her work has been on view in numerous North American galleries.
After graduating, Dr. S. moved to the US where she was accepted to a graduate program at Harvard. For the next eight years she studied literature, languages, history, and art history, graduating with a doctorate in English and Slavic Languages. As a graduate student, she taught extensively as a teaching fellow and teaching assistant in Harvard’s core curriculum. Upon graduation, she proceeded to teach at Harvard, Phillips Andover, Boston College, Brown University, and other prominent institutions.
She has worked for five years a literary editor at a national magazine. She is a prominent literary translator whose translations into English by Penguin Publishers won international awards and became best sellers. For over ten years she has worked with select international and domestic high school students helping to prepare them for college. Her pupils were accepted to McGill, RPI, Berkley, Yale, and MIT. An accomplished writer and scholar, Dr. S. can assist with any stage of college preparation, from tests to personal statements. She will also help you with your school work, from high school essay to college term paper.
