Hi! I am a current PhD student at Harvard University in theoretical chemistry with particular expertise in quantum and statistical mechanics. I have been tutoring for over 8 years, and have experience working with students from middle school through college. I have additionally served as a TA for both general chemistry and quantum mechanics courses at UC Berkeley and Harvard University, and have received certificates of distinction in teaching for every semester I have taught.

Though I specialize in quantum mechanics, I am comfortable in tutoring mathematics and science more broadly at the college and high school/middle school levels. I prefer to retain a flexible teaching style specialized to the individual student's needs and am particularly interested in one-on-one tutoring work. I like to probe students with questions, and help guide them towards a deeper understanding of the material, which will benefit them not only for the assignment on hand but also when it comes to more challenging real-time exam situations.

I am excited to work with you to attain your academic goals!

Approved Subjects

Discrete Math

Discrete Math

I completed discrete mathematics as part of my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and earned an A in the course. My academic background also includes extensive proof-based and quantitative coursework through my training in theoretical chemistry. I can help students with logic, set theory, functions, relations, induction, combinatorics, graph theory, and other core discrete math topics. I focus on breaking problems into clear steps and helping students understand both the reasoning and the notation behind each solution.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have scored an 800 on SAT Math in addition to SAT Math 2. I studied mathematics at UC Berkeley for my undergraduate degree and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I am familiar with all aspects of the precalculus curriculum, including functions, trigonometry, polynomial and rational expressions, exponentials and logarithms, sequences and series, and conic sections. I enjoy helping students build strong problem-solving skills and gain confidence with challenging concepts.
Quantum Physics

Quantum Physics

I am a PhD candidate in Theoretical Chemistry at Harvard University, where my research uses quantum mechanics daily to model molecular systems and interpret physical behavior from first principles. I have served for more than three semesters as a teaching assistant for quantum mechanics courses, helping students with wavefunctions, operators, the Schrödinger equation, angular momentum, perturbation theory, and the linear algebra behind quantum theory. In tutoring, I focus on building conceptual intuition first and then translating that intuition into clear problem-solving steps for derivations, homework, and exam-style questions. My recent teaching evaluations averaged over 4.9/5 from more than 30 students, reflecting my ability to explain difficult quantum concepts clearly and patiently.
Real Analysis

Real Analysis

I completed an undergraduate degree in mathematics at UC Berkeley with a 4.0 GPA and earned an A+ in real analysis. My background includes extensive proof-based coursework, including rigorous work with limits, continuity, sequences, series, compactness, differentiation, integration, and metric-space reasoning. I can help students develop the mathematical maturity needed for real analysis by breaking proofs into clear logical steps. My tutoring focuses on understanding definitions, constructing rigorous arguments, and preparing for homework, exams, and proof-based problem sets.
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

I specialize in helping students understand thermodynamics through clear explanations, physical intuition, and step-by-step problem solving. My background in theoretical chemistry included advanced study of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics, including entropy, free energy, phase equilibria, and molecular interpretations of macroscopic laws. I can support students in undergraduate or graduate chemistry and physics courses, especially with derivations, homework problems, and exam preparation.
