Hello, my name is Natalia! I’m currently attending MIT as a first-year. I specialize in ACT/SAT prep, but also am open to helping with math (calculus and below), and German.

I spent two years as an NHS tutor for peers at my school. The majority of my experience has been casual, helping friends and family in classes as we encountered difficult concepts, but I am excited to have the opportunity to reach more students.

I started studying for the ACT/SAT in 8th grade and scored a 32 (ACT) that year, as well as a 1340 (SAT). I then received a 35 (ACT) my sophomore year and a 1570 (SAT) my junior year. I am also a National Merit Scholar with a 1470 PSAT.

In high school, my school offered up to AP Calculus AB (on which I scored a 5), and I have since taken Calculus 2 and 3. I have taken German 1-3 in college. My mom was born in Berlin, Germany, so I am a heritage speaker.

My teaching method is flexible depending on what works best for you; however, I like to start with watching you solve practice test problems. Analyzing the way you approach a problem, where you get stuck, or whether you find yourself in a time crunch, helps me figure out where you may need a strengthening of skills and where to go from there. For example, if time is not an issue, but accuracy is, I will help you learn to slow down and can focus lessons on learning individual content that frequently trips you up. Overall, I like draw from my own experience of studying for the ACT/SAT in that doing as many practice questions as you can is incredibly beneficial.

For math and German, I will create personal lesson plans that start off explaining the material directly and then trying problems that apply this material. All the while, following your preferred pacing and allowing for plenty of room for questions.
