I received my Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Spelman College, during which time I worked for three years as a Directed Supplemental Instructor tutoring undergraduate students in Calculus and Pre-Calculus. I have also tutored online as a math and language arts tutor for K-12 students. I recently completed my Masters of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard in 2025, and have served as a Teaching Assistant in an advanced undergraduate biology course focused on cellular biology, optics, and microscopy. I also bring years of experience working with students in informal learning contexts as both an outdoor summer camp counselor and a volunteer community science educator with BioBus.
Meeting students where they are and helping them to get where they want to be is what defines my tutoring practice. Over the course of my own education, I have had my fair share of tough courses with uncaring professors, and it is for this reason that I am committed to providing a welcoming, patient, and individual-focused learning environment where students can feel empowered to succeed in difficult subjects.
