Hello! I'm Courtney, a sophomore at Harvard College. I've had a long-term passion for teaching, especially English and creative writing. I began teaching creative writing skills to 4-6 graders five years ago through Outwrite and El Sol Academy in Southern California. Since I've attended college, I have continued teaching as an after-school tutor for younger students and as a college counselor and essay reviser for high school students. Over the summer, I was a full-time kindergarten teacher under the Phillips Brooks House Association and taught students ages 6-8. I have received training and certification from PBHA to work as a teacher.
I specialize in teaching English. This includes support with the AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP Seminar, and AP Research Exams, the English and Reading portions of the ACT, college essay writing, ESL learning, and creative writing.
