Hi, my name is Jordan! I am so excited to join you on this journey. What sets me apart from others is my imagination, outside-the-box thinking, and enthusiasm. I took my MCAT score from 503 to 522 (131/129/130/132) -- if you're seeking progress, I'll help get you there.
Through my experiences with the MCAT, I developed not only mastery of the material, but a thorough understanding of the technique behind the test. Content review alone is not enough -- content mastery shines when paired with strong test-taking strategies, optimization of limited study time, and calm, can-do attitude. Together, we'll break down passage-based questions to get at the underlying logical flow, practice retaining and applying information in new and memorable ways, and training confidence under pressure.
I'm sensitive to test anxiety, and we will discuss methods to stay in a place of clarity throughout your test, how to simulate test conditions, and general stress relief. I have had success with careful planning of the preparation period, breaking it down into sections for general content review, targeted content review, spaced repetition review, practice problem-solving, and practice tests. We will discuss resources available to you and develop a personalized plan to keep you on track on a timeline that feels right and works with your schedule.
I graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BS in Nuclear Science and Engineering. At MIT, I became involved with undergraduate teaching. I LA'ed three semesters of Electronics for Mechanical Systems I and II. This was a laboratory-based class covering mechatronics, electrical engineering, autonomous robotics, coding in C++, and PCB design. I TA'ed Radiation Biophysics for one semester, covering the biological consequences of radiation exposure. I tutored in nuclear engineering. After earning my NREMT in 2021, I became a CPR and Stop The Bleed Instructor. I am an incoming medical student. Please reach out!
