I am a recent graduate from Purdue University and earned my Bachelor's of Science by double majoring in Wildlife Science and Ecology, Evolution, & Environmental Biology. I graduated with honors and on the Dean's List. My experience earning my degree has impressed on me the importance of math and statistics in informing research and discovery. I have experience using R/RStudio in wildlife-based research, was involved in research in mammalian reproductive development (mouse oocyte development through meiosis) and avian visual ecology (house finch photoreceptor analysis & vulture visual contrast sensitivity), and have assisted my peers with R and statistics coursework. I am eager to help students learn basic statistics using R, SAT-level math, and Algebra. I am also very passionate about wildlife science, ecology, and biology, and would be delighted to tutor students in these subjects as well.
I recognize that I have no formal experience in tutoring. However, I am confident in my knowledge and throughout my education I have frequently helped my friends and peers understand difficult material. I will strive to encourage and teach my students in a way that not only boosts their knowledge and understanding, but also their confidence in the material. I look forward to working with you!
