Hi, I’m Leo (pronounced ley-oh)! I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the spring of 2025, with a concentration in creative writing. During my time in college, I acted as an undergraduate TA for 5 classes and provided private tutoring for ESL high school students, which is how I discovered and fostered my love for tutoring and academic guidance. As a previously-anxious student myself, I understand that the enemies of learning are boredom and fear, and as your tutor, my goal is to build a mutual understanding with you and meet you where you’re at. I not only dedicate myself to making the experience of learning comfortable and easy, but also bond with you as my student, so you can find confidence and assurance in knowing you have someone who’s wholeheartedly on your side.
Having grown up in a Montessori school, I apply Montessori-style learning to my tutoring and teaching, so that students can learn in the way that feels best for them. I believe that every person has a learning style completely unique to them and that every person is capable of learning anything if their learning style is catered to, and this belief enables me to provide my students with the clarity and assistance they need to be able to go forward with confidence in their abilities. Because of this, I work very well with students who struggle in a traditional school environment.
