Hi, I'm Mike! I switched careers from teaching 6th-grade English (yes, I voluntarily went back to middle school) to software development. I taught sixth graders in a classroom setting for three years, adults at a coding boot camp for one year, and have provided coding mentoring for employees and team members while working as a software developer for the last 9 years.

As a certified teacher and professional software developer, I bring a unique approach to programming tutoring that combines proven teaching methods with real-world development expertise. While earning my Master's in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, I dug deep into customizing learning experiences for different learning styles. I'll bring these learnings to our lessons.

I specialize in helping students master JavaScript, React, Next, Node, CSS, and HTML, with which I have worked professionally for the last ten years. Whether you're a boot camp student needing extra support, a CS student looking to practice real-world applications, or a professional upgrading your skills, I can help you reach your goals. I worked with over 100 adult coding students while teaching at a coding boot camp in Boston, providing both group instruction and individual lessons. In these lessons, we worked through coding exercises, built final projects, and studied for coding interviews.
