I enjoy helping students reach their full potential in social science subjects where, sometimes, the amount of information can feel overwhelming. I work with students to create personalized lesson plans that are (1) easy to understand (2) comprehensive and cover required curriculum and (3) foster student interest!

About me:
I graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University, then went to the University of Oxford where I completed a masters degree in history and won the esteemed Best Dissertation award from Oxford’s History Department. Along the way I was a finalist for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, while receiving several other distinctions for my work as a historian and writer.

I am currently a PhD student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in economic history. My aim is to make a quality education accessible to the greatest number of students possible, and enjoy helping K-12 students improve their social science skills!

Prior, I received my bachelors degree in history and social sciences at Harvard University. I am currently applying to PhD programs with the career goal of becoming a history professor. I received a score of "5" on my AP American and European history exams as a high school student.

Excellent communicator and very knowledgeable

Lauren helped my niece review her course work which helped her a lot. Lauren was well prepared and asked my niece for her course materials prior to the session which was extremely helpful. My niece will implement the tools that Lauren taught her for test taking. My niece felt very comfortable with Lauren over their virtual session and we will definitely utilize Lauren’s talent and knowledge again.

Helps child feel more confident with material

Lauren helped my 15yo son prepare for his midterm History exam. He was really unsure about the material and nervous about the exam. Lauren met with him a couple of times and really helped him gain confidence with the material and key concepts so he could go into the test feeling prepared.
