Hello! My name is Bernadette B., and I am a Harvard PhD student in sociology. I am passionate about teaching, and particularly love supporting students in essay writing and editing, social sciences, and college prep for undergraduate and graduate degrees. I have 8+ years of teaching experience and have worked with all age levels, from preschoolers to adults. Most recently, I worked as a teaching assistant in two different Harvard sociology courses, where I led class sections and provided office hours for 65+ undergraduate students. I enjoy working one-on-one with students to customize the curriculum to their needs and interests.
I also have experience editing and proofreading legal documents, academic articles and essays, policy briefs, and resumés/CVs. I very much enjoy this work and can also support others in developing these skills through tutoring sessions.
