Hi there! I am currently an Assistant Professor at Tufts University where I research and teach US history and Asian American Studies.
Prior to my appointment at Tufts, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History at Harvard University. My research focuses on twentieth-century US intellectual and cultural history, Asian American Studies, and critical race and gender studies.
I am eager to assist students, writers, and researchers working in humanities fields, particularly in English and History. I am detail-oriented, communicative, and thoughtful whenever I take on any project. I am especially interested in helping those who might need assistance with developing college or graduate-level interdisciplinary academic writing or research.
I have taught high school and college English, Expository Writing, History, Asian American Studies, and American Studies courses. I am therefore equipped to help students develop essays or personal statements for college or graduate school.
Finally, I am also able to assist with academic grant writing. I currently serve as the Co-Principal Investigator and Project Director for the Yale Out of the Desert digital project, which interprets World War II Japanese American incarceration history for a broad public audience. We have received one large National Park Service Grant and a range of private and institutional grants to support this project.
Whatever your project or task at hand, please feel free to contact me to discuss how I might be able to support you!
