I have training in language teaching methods and principles, and I am familiar with ACTFL guidelines and OPI , HSK testing. I can measure stdent's progress periodically and create lesson plans and contents based on the needs of each student, incorporating technology and diverse activities and games.
I have my own courses from beginner to advanced level which emphasize on communicative proficiency development. My lessons are designed around "can-do" statements and real-world tasks, giving students meaningful contexts to use the language for authentic purposes like family gathering, daily routine, shopping ,travelling etc.
I taught Middlebury College (VT) Summer program and Brandeis University (MA) Chinese programs before; I also taught middle school 6-8 in MA. Currently I have private students that I have been teaching for three years.
