I have a masters degree in Civil Engineering and currently work for a real estate service company in the role of a database administrator. I have experience in teaching high schoolers several subjects in math including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus and calculus. This current year of 2016-2017 I am teaching the following subjects: three middle school students in algebra I, two high school students in precalculus, two middle school students in geometry, one high school student in AP calculus BC, one college student calculus II, one college student multi-variable calculus (aka calculus III), two high school students in AP physics I. I love teaching math and enjoy everything math related.
I realize that students need help with the material that is being covered by their teachers. In order to help my students catch up and stay up to date on their class material, I visit their teachers' school websites and collect information on classroom material and help the student with that knowledge.
I assess a student's knowledge by initially testing the student in the subjects I am assigned to teach by quizzing and testing. I use this assessment in my teaching to gradually bring the student to their potential. Imtiazur is teaching my daughter Precalculus and Trigonometry. He contacted my daughter's next year teacher at her high school and got the syllabus and he is coaching her. He gives individual attention to students. I am extremely satisfied with Imtiazur.
Imtiazur was there for us when we needed it urgently. He is very detailed knowledgeable and patiently took care of our math problem.
Thank you, Imtiazur!
This was a very good experience I will definitely be using him as a tutor and the near future to help me learn C#. you get a lot of tutoring in a two hour time.
After only one session, my understanding of algebra has increased substantially. There is still much to do, though, in order to be ready to sit for the Praxis Math Exam! I look forward to being able to move through these concepts with confidence, thanks to Imtiazur's incredible patience with me!
My son came out of the lesson more confident in his math skills & happy to do his homework - he completed his home work quickly after the tutoring session
He has only worked with my son a few times but he seems to be really helping and we are going to use him weekly through the end of the school year and probably next year as well.
Imtiazur is a wonderful tutor. He gives our student personal attention. He goes above and beyond when teaching our son. He often gives extra time to conclude a lesson that he is teaching. Other tutors don't do that. Imtiazur is patient, which enables the student to feel comfortable and not rushed. Imtiazur answers our questions and calls away from tutoring sessions. That is awesome! He is a humble and good person whom we trust to spend time with our son. He has a passion for mathematics that filters to the student. We highly recommend Mr. Imtiazur for any of your tutoring needs.
This tutor is very good with students. I love his approach in relation to what the students need to succeed. While he sets clear expectations, he is very understanding and patient when there are shortcomings. I would highly recommend him.
My daughter is just starting with tutoring sessions with Imtiazur. I feel that the first session was very productive.
He really takes his time and works hard to make sure I understand all my work. He has worked hard to make sure he is familiar with my subject so he can help me as much as possible.
Quick Communication, flexible, and dependable!! Our family will be using again!! Our student felt more confident when he left the session. A+
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
