I enjoy making math and science more fun and understandable for middle school, high school, and college students. I graduated in spring '08 with a BS in Physics and Math and in spring '10 with a Master's in Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. I was the physics department tutor and supplemental instructor in college for three and a half years and am currently working as a controls engineer. As of January 2019, I now have 14 years of tutoring experience!

She actually looked forward to her tutoring sessions because she knew she would understand and improve more and more each week. We are continuing with Jeff's tutoring sessions through the summer and next school year. He is also very easy to contact and returns inquiries very quickly. I would highly recommend Jeff for the best success!!

My son liked his first session and feels like Jeff helped him figure out problems he’s been missing on his last couple exams. He made the comment that Jeff did a great job explaining things and breaking them down in a way he could understand. Looking forward to continuing the tutoring!

I highly recommend tutor Jeff! I was struggling in trigonometry this past semester and I knew I needed individualized help. Mathematics has always been my strongest subject, so I was very frustrated when I couldn’t make the connections in trigonometry. Jeff is worth his weight in gold for his ability to explain complex concepts both clearly and effectively. One of the things I struggle with most about math is, that math professors like to skip steps and do certain parts of a problem in their heads. This makes it very difficult to follow their train of thought during lectures. Jeff was able to fill these “wholes” in my understanding, so I too could follow the trigonometric logic. Jeff can also tell when you don’t fully understand his explanation, so he will say things in different ways until you get it! Jeff is very patient and not too quick to alter your train of thought (unless you made a math error), but he shows you how he “thinks” through the problem so that you can apply the same methods to other problems. I was able to pass trigonometry with an A in the course, and I never would have achieved this level of understanding without Jeff’s help. I was able to utilize the concepts Jeff taught me and apply these on my homework and during exams. As an engineering student, I will definitely keep Jeff in mind for individualized help as I enroll in more difficult courses like calculus and physics.

Great tips for memorization issues
My daughter was having a hard time memorizing so much for her college chemistry class. Jeff gave her some great tips on how to help with that. He was also very prompt in responding to every email I sent and was right on time for tutoring sessions. Great tutor.
