I am an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering and Applied Physics at Purdue University, along with a minor in Chemistry. I have experience tutoring other students in math and physics courses, and was able to greatly and positively influence their final semester grades. I have a 4.0 GPA and have taken Multivariate Calculus (Calculus 3), Differential Equations, Mechanics, achieving A's in all of them. I am currently enrolled in Linear Algebra and Electric/Magnetic Interactions, expecting to achieve an A in both. I have also received credit for Calculus 1 and 2, Statistics, and Chemistry.
My style of teaching is very active. I first ask of the student to identify which concept(s) they are struggling with for a particular unit. I will look at the course content for that unit, and set up a plan for the tutoring session with the student. We will go over content, develop individualized methods for solving different types of problems, and then go over practice problems. This will help create strategies that allows the student to solve problems in an exam format, when no external help is provided.
