Hello! I'm Milo, and I am a Sophomore at Purdue University, studying Mechanical Engineering Technologies. Before focusing on my passion for Engineering at Purdue, I was in a private High School on the island of Puerto Rico, where I invested my time in learning languages. I remember just how much of a struggle it was when I first began to learn Spanish seven years ago, but I learned many tricks to rapidly progress and master the language. Sometimes my local friends admit that I articulate better Spanish than them! I am a dual-citizen (I am French/American) and these languages, I have been speaking since before I can remember. I have taken over 6 years of French grammar, as I wanted to solidify my knowledge of this language and teach it one day. What makes me able to further students’ education outside of the classroom is my experience in both Spanish and French countries. I have lived for over 4 years in France, and have visited numerous territories of France, with the goal of understanding and observing different dialects. I have been to a variety of Spanish speaking countries with the same goal, and have lived 7 years in Puerto Rico.
From a young age I have been the first choice for many people around me to learn French, because I am completely fluent. I am a first generation immigrant, and return yearly to France. Since the third grade I have been practicing French grammar. I scored a 5 on the Advanced Placement French Language test. I have been studying and speaking Spanish daily for seven years, as before my move to the University, I was situated in Puerto Rico, where Spanish is the main language. I also scored a 5 on the Advanced Placement Spanish Language test.
I currently have very flexible times, and I am excited to share my knowledge of these languages and interesting cultures with more people through Wyzant! Please feel free to contact me, or schedule a lesson. I hope to see you soon!
