Acting

I am a professional actor with over two decades of experience on stage and in front of the camera. My work includes extensive stage acting since 1996, directing stage performances, and professional voice-over and television commercial experience. As a working actor with an agent, I bring a real-world perspective to my coaching. I can help students with all aspects of acting, including audition preparation, character development, monologue coaching, stage presence, and the business of acting. Whether you're preparing for a school play or aiming to break into professional acting, I'll provide you with the tools and mentorship to succeed.

Bodybuilding

I have been a weightlifter since my youth. I was a personal fitness coach for youth and adults at the Rockford Y.M.C.A. for several years. I currently hold a bench press record in the state of Wisconsin.

Chess

I have played chess since I was 6 years old. I have coached chess teams and individual students in the game of chess. I am also a university instructor who focuses in the subject of philosophy and critical thought.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have been a certified elementary teacher for 5 years. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education (K-9). I have a standard teaching certificate from the state of Illinois. I have taught consistently in the state of Illinois for the past 5 years.

As a university professor and professional speaker, I have spent my career helping people find their voice and speak with confidence. I have a Ph.D. in Communication, giving me a deep understanding of how to craft a message that resonates with any audience. I have a Masters degree in Communication from Northern Illinois University. I have taught over 30 speech classes in various formats including onsite and online classes.
