I am an experienced tutor and instructor specializing in all levels of Mathematics and Statistics, middle and high school - College and Graduate Level Mathematics and Statistics.
I have expert knowledge of college level mathematics and statistics, precalculus, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, and Statistics. I am an advanced user of Excel, Statistical packages, MATLAB, as well as programming languages.
Here is a copy of the thank you note my 7th grade student wrote:
Words can’t describe how much you have helped me. I really hope that we can do math together again next year too. We have had some laughs during the year and we always got along.

“Anne tutored my daughter March-May 2009 in AAT, Advanced Algebra and Trigenometry. Ms. M. was very knowledgeable and helped my daughter to understand very complicated material. She is a very 'hands on' instructor, she was always checking with my daughter to be sure she understood and was following along. She explained things very well and my daughter very much appreciated Ms. M.'s assistance.

Anne was very patient and clearly explained the process of using the MiniTab software program for my college Statistics class. Anne was very knowledgeable and knew her stuff. I now understand how to complete the assignment and study work for my exam that is due next week. I would highly recommend Anne M.
Thank you Anne!
Anne taught me statistics. She broke down the statistics section to help me better understand the chapter. After working with Anne what about to go back to school from break and not feel as if I miss anything.
She's teaching me about psychology stats, to help prepare for my final. She's patient and explains the material well.
My daughter was tutored by Anne M., in College Statistics this summer. Her final grade was an A. At the beginning she was struggling with the subject, but once Anne started tutoring her, it all became clear and easy. The tutor was very accessible and answered her calls and questions promptly. She also worked around her schedule when possible and kept in touch with my daughter and me. I also like the fact, that Anne cared about my daughter's success in the course.
Thank you very much.
Anne knows her "stuff!" I am so grateful for her time and talent that she has shared with me. I felt more confident as I returned back to my probability class this evening.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have completed Course P and VEEs Corporate Finance and Regression Analysis of the Society of Actuaries. I have taught at the college level calculus sequence, linear algebra, statistics, mathematical modeling, differential equations, and engineering mathematics.
I have the class notes and homework assignments for the passed courses and VEE modules. I am very familiar with theory of interest. I can go over the exams posted on the Society of Actuaries web site.
I assist both middle school students in a fast track program and mainstream students.
I assist students taking class in high school or college. I teach the subject at local community colleges.
I have worked as a software developer and have worked on large scale projects involving programming in C and other languages. I have also worked with algorithm development, in particular efficiency and number of operations to complete a certain task.
My expertise in the subject of differential equations was gained while teaching undergraduate differential equations at Ohio State University and Cleveland State University and working on independent projects that required analyzing and solving differential equations. I also taught Engineering Mathematics that had differential equations as a prerequisite. While teaching the class, I presented the material, held office hours (if only one or two came at the same time, students got close to an individualized tutoring session), wrote quizzes and tests as well as the detailed answer keys, and then graded the quizzes and tests.
I have 7 years experience in teaching undergraduate credit courses at the college level and 10+ years of tutoring at various grade levels. Parents of tutored students have provided statements of my tutoring effectiveness and when applicable inquired about my availability for the following school year.
I assist students with geometry either in the fast track or normal track.
I have a Ph.D. in applied mathematics and I have taught undergraduate linear algebra. That includes matrices, linear systems, rank of matrix, properties of symmetric matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. I have used linear algebra as a tool to solve real-world problems as well as MATLAB when its need arises.
I have worked with a student taking college classes, data analysis, stochastic calculus, and regression analysis with all the simulations conducted in MATLAB. I have taught numerical analysis and exercises like root finding, numerical solutions of ODEs, errors were done with MATLAB. I also worked on an image processing projects and code was developed with MATLAB.
I have been tutoring 7th grade math.
I provide assistance with Honors Precalculus and college level. I teach precalculus at local community colleges.
I have completed Course P of the society actuaries. The letter P stands for Probability and Statistics. Material covered includes basic probability, conditional probability, expectation, normal random variables, and markov chains.
I assist students taking AP Statistics and undergraduate and graduate students taking various levels of statistics classes. I teach Statistics at local community college. I'm an expert with Excel Statistics toolpak and MATLAB.
I'm an assistant with Honors trigonometry. I teach at local community colleges.
