I graduated from undergrad with a double major in Elementary Education and Cross Categorical Special Education (focusing on the areas of learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism).
I have been teaching in Chicago since 2014, where I have co-taught Geometry, Aglebra 1, Algebra 2, and College Algebra. I have also supported a class specific to my district that breaks down the entire college application process. I am well versed in the ACT and SAT math sections for algebra and geometry, and have tutored a student for the HSAT and HSPT. While teaching and tutoring, I have identified additional supports students could benefit from at school and have coached parents through what to advocate for in order to put those supports in place.
Additionally, I have 2 family members on the autism spectrum and with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and one with OCD.
I feel students are able to learn best in 1-on-1 settings. As a special education teacher, I teach multiple small group/1-on-1 sessions per week. Contact me now to schedule yours!
