Having been born into an academically focused family; my mother, a school principle and my father, a PhD in Veterinary Medicine and research scientist for the United Nations, I have had the opportunity to travel extensively from a young age and attended school in Sudan, Kenya and now, the U.S.A. As our family moved frequently between Sudan and Kenya, school was my anchor environment through which I cultivated my ability to create fast friendships and adopt strong study skills to keep pace with my classmates. I adapted to the rigors of academia at an exceptionally young age, having started primary school at age three, I went on to graduate from high school not only top of my class, but top in my state. At the age of 16, I was awarded a full scholarship to medical school at University of Alzaiem Alazhari, in Khartoum, Sudan.
