Well-Prepared and Good Results
Beth has done a very nice job with our high school freshman son. He was struggling in Spanish and Beth has helped make a huge difference in his confidence, performance, and grades. She is very organized and ensures there is a good, productive study plan in place for each session. We are very happy to have Beth working with our son.

Very accommodating!
Beth was flexible and bent over backwards to accommodate my son's busy schedule. He found her teaching style straightforward and easy to understand. I would recommend her to anyone seeking help in demystifying geometry!

Experienced and effective teacher
Beth was highly prepared for our first lesson. We hit the ground running with a series of diagnostic questions. She's a trained teacher so in addition to being a terrific conversational partner, she is well versed in effective language pedagogy and was able to immediately identify what I need to work on. Although she specializes in Spanish, as part of her training, she studied all the major romance languages including latin, which is useful if your high school/college French seeps into your Spanish as is the case with me. At the end of our first lesson, we agreed upon an approach going forward based on my goals and my current level of proficiency. If you want to jump start your Spanish language acquisition and fluency, I highly recommend working with Beth.

Great tutor. Very flexible
Beth tutored honors geometry summer school for our child attending Loyola Academy. Beth was very flexible and added time when needed to ensure there was sufficient time to cover the material. Beth was easy to reach and responsive. The volume of material covered was extensive given the summer school format. Beth had a copy of the text and prepared for each session. We saw an improvement in our child's grades as a result of the tutoring provided. Thank you Beth.

Really helpful, easy to get along with
Beth Z. was a very good ACT tutor in my opinion. She took the time to do all the practice tests that I was doing so that we could go over them together. Her availability was flexible, and we always had a place to meet whether it be at her house or the library. She is very kind and friendly and has some great ACT strategies to share! I would recommend Beth as an ACT tutor for any subject, especially reading and English. She is very skilled at analyzing texts and teaching grammatical rules. Thanks Beth!!

Terrific tutor - tailors approach to the student
Beth is a terrific tutor. I started my son with her over the summer to get him up to speed in Spanish for the upcoming school year. Beth does a great job of tailoring her approach to the student. She listened to my son to learn what topics were of interest to him, then focused her Spanish lesson around those topics so he stayed interested. My son found an online tool for learning Spanish that he liked and Beth incorporated that into her approach as well. She finds the right way to engage her student. Between camps and summer trips, our schedule was a bit erratic and Beth was very flexible in finding times/locations that worked for us, including a few weeks where he had lessons using Skype. I highly recommend Beth as a Spanish tutor.

Great tutor
I hired Beth as an English tutor for my mother who came to visit from Europe. Beth did great. Not only did my mom brush up on her English, but she actually had a lot of fun too. Classes were very interactive and focused on using English in real life situations; Beth came up with great ideas as to how they could enjoy the time together and learn at the same time. Overall, it was a great experience for my mom and I highly recommended Beth.

Great Tutor
I started studying Spanish at DePaul University in the fall of 2013. I had never studied Spanish before and was eager to progress as fast as possible, so I asked my professor to refer me to a competent tutor. He referred me to Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Zeiss and I have worked with Beth ever since. Beth has helped me a lot on several areas. We have worked on my pronunciation, which was awful at the beginning, due to the fact that I know French. And we have worked on my written Spanish where Beth has been tremendously helpful. With Beth’s help, I have a much better understanding of Spanish grammar and my vocabulary has grown. My plan is to continue to work with Beth and I can highly recommend her.
