I’m Jadyn, a Creative Writing and Spanish major at Northwestern University with a 3.86 GPA. I have completed two full-length young adult fantasy novel manuscripts and was selected among the top 7% of applicants for the University of Iowa Young Writers’ Studio. I also serve as Publicity Editor for Northwestern’s Helicon Literary & Arts Magazine and have professional experience writing articles and digital content. I tutor English, essay writing, creative writing, reading comprehension, grammar, revision, and Spanish for middle and high school students. I currently offer tutoring remotely only.
My tutoring style is encouraging, organized, and tailored to each student. In English and writing, I can help students brainstorm, outline essays, strengthen arguments, improve grammar and sentence structure, revise drafts, and develop a stronger writing voice. For creative writers, I can also help with plot, character development, dialogue, description, and storytelling. In Spanish, I can help students strengthen vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and conversational skills while reviewing material at a pace that works for them.
Much of my experience working with young writers comes through writing workshops and Between the Spaces, a nonprofit initiative I founded that organizes writing, art, and photography opportunities for students. These experiences have taught me the importance of clear feedback, patience, and encouragement. My goal is not simply to correct an assignment, but to help students understand the material and become more confident working independently.
