I'm available to work with elementary school students in reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, social studies, and basic math. I can help with homework, review classroom material, prepare for tests, and practice skills that need additional attention. Although I'm new to professional tutoring, my background in education and psychology has helped me understand that students learn in different ways and may need concepts explained through different examples or approaches.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and flexible. I begin by learning what the student already understands and where they are having difficulty. From there, I break the material into manageable steps and use clear explanations and practice activities. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they build the confidence and study habits needed to work more independently.
