Hello! My name is Anvita, and I am a Biomedical Engineering student at Northwestern University. I have over four years of experience tutoring mathematics and one year of experience as a teaching assistant, working with students from elementary school through high school. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have helped students strengthen foundational math skills, improve classroom performance, prepare for quizzes and exams, and build confidence in subjects that once felt overwhelming. My engineering coursework has given me a strong mathematical foundation, and I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps.

I believe the best learning happens when students truly understand why a method works instead of memorizing procedures. During each lesson, I encourage students to ask questions, explain their thinking, and develop problem-solving strategies they can apply independently. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to each individual's goals, pace, and learning preferences. Whether a student needs extra support with homework, wants to prepare for an upcoming test, or hopes to get ahead in class, I create a patient, encouraging, and judgment-free environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

My goal is not only to help students earn higher grades but also to help them develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and a positive attitude toward mathematics. I understand that math can be intimidating, and I strive to make each session engaging, productive, and personalized. I look forward to helping students reach their academic goals and discover that they are capable of far more than they may believe.
