Hi, I’m Henry! During my final year of high school, I took classes at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities instead of attending my high school. Through that experience, I learned the powerful difference between an okay professor in a subject you love and a great professor in a subject you simply tolerate. One of my large lecture courses had over 600 students, and yet the class average was an A, not because the exams were easy, but because my professor’s passion for the subject made students genuinely excited to learn.
That experience helped shape how I approach tutoring. Tutoring isn’t just about explaining concepts, that works for some people, but it’s really about enjoying a subject so much that your enthusiasm for it becomes contagious.
I have nearly three years of tutoring experience, including one year serving as a board member for a tutoring organization called Higher Heights Tutoring. Throughout my time at that organization, I worked closely with students in one-on-one virtual sessions and collaborated with parents to develop systems that helped students not only complete their work, but truly understand the material and its real-world applications. My primary focus areas are mathematics and science.
I take great pride in my students’ success and actively seek feedback so I can adapt to each student’s learning style. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule a lesson!
