I possess a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with dual minor in Computer Science and Physics with 3.7/4.0 GPA. I am able to teach Calculus (Single & Multivariable, with proofs), Lin. Alg., Discrete Math, Quantum Mechanics, Lagrangian Mechanics, Algorithms & Data Structures, Dynamic programming, Space & Time Complexity, graph search algorithms. I have a passion for the truth and mathematical elegance. Physics was my favorite, and the first principles approach I learnt there has impacted my enlightenment positively.
I tutored undergraduate student-athletes from 2021-2022 in Math/Physics/CS and marked Math papers for professors in Analysis & Lin. Alg. for 6 months in 2023. The undergrad tutoring was one on one. I give the student just enough guidance to solve the problem such that they still learn via some amount of struggle. In Math I tutored in Algebra, Discrete Math, Statistics, Functions, & Calculus. In Physics I did Newtonian Mechanics and Electromagnetism. In CS I tutored Python. The brain learns by struggling, and so if a student is ever stuck I will provide nudging in the right direction such that they can benefit from solving the problem largely themselves. The brain also remembers information connected to practical tasks necessary for life, and so I connect concepts with activities the student is interested in. In tutoring student-athletes in Physics the connection is clear, however in general highlighting the applications is critical.
