Hello! My name is Adam Jaffe, and I'm from St. Louis, Missouri. I currently attend Northwestern University, where I'm double majoring in social policy and economics.

From elementary school through my sophomore year of high school, I struggled with writing. Despite being a strong student overall, I often felt anxious and constrained in my abilities as a writer. It wasn’t until I began working with a senior mentor in high school that I finally started to find freedom and confidence in my writing. Now, writing is one of my biggest strengths in college, and my experience of growth serves as a constant reminder of the powerful impact peer tutoring can have on a student’s success in all areas of life.

I've been working as a tutor since high school, specializing in reading and writing, social studies/history, economics, and math. I was fortunate to take seven AP classes in high school—Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Literature, U.S. History, World History, Environmental Science, and Calculus BC—all of which I feel extremely confident in helping students succeed.

Since then, I've continued tutoring at Northwestern, focusing on economics, and serving as a peer mentor to help students develop effective study habits and transition smoothly to university life. Beyond these subjects, I believe my strongest expertise lies in communication, particularly in public speaking, presentations, and business communication.

While I have the most experience working with middle and high school students, I feel comfortable working with students of all ages across a wide range of subjects. I take pride in my ability to go beyond academics with students, helping them navigate new challenges and sharing the lessons that have been most valuable to me throughout my academic journey. After graduation, I plan to attend law school to further my academic career.
