Hi, I'm Brooke! I am a student at Northwestern University, majoring in physics with a concentration in astronomy. I love the natural sciences, and have been heavily involved in research for several years now. I also love to teach, and try to as much as possible! I have years of experience tutoring math, SAT subjects, and college application preparation courses.
My involvement in STEM fields began in 2022, when I started doing astrophotography. Deep-space images of nebulae and galaxies that I took gained recognition. Around the same time, I began research on exoplanets with a professor at Harvard, and a project on impact ejecta dispersal with a research group close to my home. I've since presented research at conferences and guest lectured at university courses to talk about my astrophotography, research, and conduct demonstrations.
During high school, I ran several clubs at a college where I took courses. At that college, I was awarded an academic achievement award in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, a coveted award given to one student a year to commemorate their contributions in the field. Now, at Northwestern, I'm doing research for the Roman Space Telescope's coronagraph, and volunteering at the observatory whenever possible!
