The humanities courses I have taught encompass a variety of disciplines, including sociology, art history, literature, anthropology, and film. I have also taught psychology at the graduate level. In addition, I have 290+ hours tutoring through Wyzant.

In any of the subjects I teach, my primary concern is how well the student learns the subject matter, and as such I tailor my approach to the specific needs and strengths of the student. There is no cookie cutter mold for how an individual student learns. Hence I adapt how I teach to each student's particular way of learning, including the strengths and weaknesses of the individual.

Grammar,

Grammar

I have 15+ years teaching, which includes editing and correcting grammatical errors or simply confusing constructions. In every paper I grade or review, I always check for correct grammar. In fact, part of the points for any given paper consist of the use of correct grammar. If a student has a problem, I will go through the paper line by line to show her what grammatical mistakes were made and ways to fix those errors.
Proofreading

Proofreading

I have 15+ years in grading undergraduate and post-graduate writing; this includes correcting grammar, spelling, and evaluating the overall internal logic of papers. I have also worked in the not-for-profit sector, where I had to both write and evaluate a wide variety of written work.

Flexible, accessible, knowledgeable, and super at ease with my anxiety!

Cristofre was exceedingly patient when it came to guiding me back to the prompt over, and over, and over. I really need extra help focusing on organizational issues when it comes to writing and making sure I am clearly able to articulate what I understand. He helped clarify a number of concepts and has always been prompt in contacting me when I've asked for a lesson. I feel so fortunate to have found him and look forward to working with him again.

Knowlegable and helpful tutor

Cristofre has been helping me prepare for the analyzing and interpreting literature Clep exam. He is very knowledgeable and goes in to depth about the pieces of writing we are working on. He has been very helpful in making me comprehend and feel confident in interpreting literature. If I don't understand a poem for example he will go line by line explaining the meaning for me. He has challenged my way of thinking in a positive manner. I would whole heartedly recommend him to tutor for a variety of subjects as he has outstanding general knowledge.
