Writing and helping people write has always been my strong suit. I scored a 32 on my ACT Reading and Writing sections. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History (with a specialty in Modern Europe) from the University of Chicago, where I honed my essay and thesis writing skills. I also write creatively. More recently I completed my Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education at Teachers College of Columbia University in the City of New York. I graduated my master's program with all A's and have experience writing research papers, book reviews, and comparative legal essays. In my 10 years of service to undergraduate and graduate students, I have focused on transition programming, leadership training, and event coordination and logistics. I have authored reports, built program frameworks, and have written marketing copy.
I believe that all types of writing are a form of art. Finding your narrative hook is the first step to writing successfully at the college-level and beyond. I hope to help you find a love for wordsmithing and tap into your potential as a writer. Despite the proliferation of AI, honing your writing skills will increase your cognitive functioning and benefit you--professionally, academically, and personally--for the rest of your life.
I have previously tutored one-on-one in high school and college-level algebra and have experience providing guidance in high school, undergraduate, and graduate level writing.
I look forward to supporting you on your academic journey.
