Hi! I'm Sneha, a senior studying Computer Science at the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), originally from San Jose, CA. Hi! I'm Sneha, a senior studying Computer Science at the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), originally from San Jose, CA. Over the past three years at UIUC, I've been a undergraduate teaching assistant for our introduction to data science class (CS 107) for over a 1000+ students each semester as well as a tutor through the Computer Science Student Ambassadors and Research Scholars (CS STARS) program. I've been tutoring long before college, and actually started working with middle schoolers when I was in high school teaching calculus and statistics. My time at Illinois has made me very passionate about breaking down computer science concepts so that anyone can understand them, and giving students a solid foundation so that they can achieve all of their educational goals!
I'm most proficient with Python and Java, but am comfortable working with Javascript and C++ as well. I can help with data structures and algorithms, data modeling, web development, introductory programming (AP CS A, AP CS P), and fundamental data science concepts as well. If you're curious about learning web development or different frameworks like Flask, React.js, and Django and haven't found the right class yet, I can also build curriculum around these concepts and give students a crash course and get them feeling confident enough to tackle their own projects.
I truly believe anyone can excel in computer science and it just takes the right person explaining a concept in a way that makes it click in your head. I hope you'll give me the opportunity to make it click for you just as someone made it click for me. My students at UIUC have great things to say about my teaching skills (I promise!!) so I hope you'll give me a shot :)
