Hello everyone,

My name is Brian, and I am ready to help you succeed!

I believe the foundation of any learning experience is a trusting relationship and mutually agreed upon goals. My experience and personal philosophy have allowed me to develop the skills necessary to foster both. I have a passion for academia, learning, and helping others to achieve their own personal potential in a supportive manner.

I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Idaho State University and extensive training working with people from all backgrounds of life. My approach to teaching is a balance of being serious, goal directed, non-judgmental, and positive. I feel interspersing a bit of humor, fun, and perspective taking is essential to any endeavor.

I am committed to meeting every student where they are in their level of understanding and helping them build the foundation of knowledge they desire. I am well prepared to walk you through your subject at a pace comfortable to you. In my humble opinion learning is much more than memorizing facts, it’s about developing critical thinking skills, understanding concepts, and developing strategies which will be useful throughout your life.

I have can also help with writing, editing, and other such tasks.

I have experience working with undergraduate students, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, groups, and have even spent a number of years teaching skiing. As a person I am easy to work with but also good at pushing people to achieve their objectives.

Best regards,

Brian
