I recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, where I earned a 3.99 GPA in my major and also completed a minor in Health and Wellness. I have completed psych courses in the topics of: personality, neuroscience, perception, social psychology, developmental psychology, stigma and bias, human emotion, human happiness, and many more. I hold a NASM personal trainer certification, which complements my academic background by grounding me in applied knowledge of health, physiology, and fitness.
My teaching experience began during the 2024–2025 academic year, when I worked at a local congregation teaching students, ages 12 to 17. In this role, I led classes on Jewish and world history, mental health and wellness, and special topics in Judaism. I came to class with creativity and adaptability, using PowerPoint lectures, group discussions, and interactive educational games to foster both engagement and comprehension. My goal was always to make learning enjoyable and informational, and I found that blending structure with active participation helped my students connect with the material.
Outside of formal teaching, I have naturally gravitated toward explaining concepts to peers in my psychology, physiology, and nutrition courses. I enjoy finding different ways to break down complex topics so that they make sense to different kinds of people. This experience has taught me the importance of flexibility, patience, and clear communication in education. I see tutoring not just as a way help others but also as an opportunity to continue learning myself through the process of teaching.
