Experienced Tutor in High School and College Level Mathematics

Hi, I’m Alex! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. I graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.9 and a Math GPA of 3.8, earning As in all of the introductory math courses, including Calculus 1/2/3, Linear Algebra and Combinatorics/Graph Theory. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics and would be happy to help tutor in most high school/college-level mathematics courses at the pace that works best for you. Some of the subjects I would be a great tutor for include but are not limited to Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Trigonometry, and Discrete Mathematics (Combinatorics/Graph Theory). In addition, I can tutor for ACT/SAT math. I received a perfect score on the Math and Science section of the ACT so I think I could be a good tutor with proven success.

I have both tutored and taught for nearly five years in many mathematics subjects, including Calculus 1 and 2, but am open to tutoring in nearly all other areas of mathematics as well. I am able to tutor online as well as in person (if we are able to find a suitable location). During a tutoring session, I tend to like to review past material then go over suitable practice problems to be sure you understand.
