I specialize in one thing: turning standardized test anxiety and heavy STEM confusion into predictable, high-yield patterns. Whether your student is trying to break a 1500+ on the SAT, scale a stubborn ACT score, or master Algebra, Geometry, or Precalculus, I do not believe in endless busywork or passive lecturing that wastes time and builds resentment.

My methodology is surgical and structured. In Session 1, we triage the exact conceptual leak or timing trap dragging the score down. By Session 2, we build mechanical pacing and real-time error-pattern tracking using active problem sets live on the screen. By Session 3, we lock in self-check habits so the student stops making careless mistakes under pressure. Parents and students appreciate the lack of friction.

After every single session, I send a crisp, 3-bullet recap text breaking down what we conquered, where the student stalled, and the exact target focus for next time. You will never have to guess whether progress is happening.

Beyond high school coursework and college entrance exams, my background as a University of Michigan graduate with 7 medical school acceptances gives me a unique lens on academic rigor. Having navigated multiple high-stakes admissions cycles, intense committee evaluations, and heavy foundational science sequences, I teach students how high-stakes academic architects actually think and construct evaluation rubrics. We do not just memorize formulas; we learn how to reverse-engineer the test-maker's logic. This approach is best for ambitious students sitting at a plateau who are tired of spinning their wheels and need a clear, empathetic, high-velocity mentor.

If you are looking for accountability, clarity, and measurable score or grade movement without the burnout, let’s get to work. Reach out with your current target score, grade level, or upcoming exam date, and we will map out our first session immediately.

Very knowledgeable and helpful right from the start

I had my first SAT tutoring session with Manav today, and the difference was night and day. Right away, he didn't just review math and reading concepts—he broke down the psychology of the test, teaching me tactical shortcuts and time-management strategies that textbooks completely miss. Within just one hour, the test went from feeling terrifying and overwhelming to entirely manageable. If you are looking for an SAT tutor who knows how to unlock results and boost confidence immediately, Manav is the absolute best. I've already booked my next sessions!

Excellent

Manav was extremely patient and took the time to get to know her before jumping into content. Although he is very knowledgeable on diverse subjects, he made sure to help her feel successful and was very encouraging even after she made a mistake. He understood right away what she needed to cover to be more successful and had several great practice activities to help her review between sessions. She had just 3 sessions and her English section practice test went from a 28 to a 35. HIGHLY Recommend. Would give six stars out of five!!

Excellent Tutor

Manav helped my son prepare for his recent SAT, and we had an excellent experience. He has a great teaching method and is thorough, patient, and very effective in explaining the material. After each session, my son felt more empowered and confident. On his most recent test, his score improved significantly. Manav is an excellent tutor, and I recommend him 100% without hesitation.

extremely helpful tutor

Manav helped me understand the math concepts I was struggling with so i could improve my sat score. He explains things clearly and at a pace that works for me, and he never makes me feel rushed or embarrassed to ask questions. With his help, I've been able to solve problems I couldn't before. I'd definitely recommend him to other students

Manav has been wonderful to work with.

He is kind, patient, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in helping our son improve his PSAT score. He is diligent and sincere, and we especially appreciate the clear and prompt updates he gives us as parents. It’s not every day that your kid actually looks forward to working on something like the PSAT with a tutor, but our son truly enjoys his sessions with Manav. When his school offered him the opportunity to work with a different tutor, he immediately said he wanted to stay with Manav, which says a lot! We’re very happy he did. Manav is flexible, smart, encouraging, and kind—all the qualities you hope to find in a great tutor. We highly recommend him!
