I'm proud to have achieved an AA of Teacher Education, Bachelor's in Early Childhood, 2 Masters degrees ( Early Childhood and Educational Leadership), and anEducational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am Gifted Endorsed as well. I've spent the majority of my career working as an intervention teacher, providing remediation and enrichment instruction for students in K - 6th grade. That role led me to fall in love with the role of "coaching" and leading learners in their academic quest. I use the term coaching instead of tutoring because coaching is a term kids are more familiar with and it's more relatable to them. A coach is seen as an ally, a supporter, an encourager, and a valued resource, and that is what I feel my role is for all students I encounter. I find fun ways to engage and connect with my learners, while also tapping into the learning style of the student. To provide the best instruction, I continue to partake in professional development, stay current and proficient in trends in education, state standards and curriculum, as well as instructional practices.
