I've been teaching math and physics for over a decade, and I've loved every minute of it!

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in both math and physics, and completed my Master's and PhD in physics at Georgia Tech. I've been teaching math and physics for over a decade, and I've loved every minute of it!

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in both math and physics, and completed my Master's and PhD in physics at Georgia Tech. I also have an Associate Certification from the Center for the Integration of Research, Technology, and Learning. I've been an Assistant Professor of Physical Science at Brenau University since 2022, and in this decade of education I've tutored privately for over 1000 hours. At graduations, I am often introduced by students to their parents as "the best professor they had in college".

Learning and the learning process excite me to no end. Helping a student grasp a concept so well that they can explain it back to me is so fulfilling, especially when I get to see a glimmer of excitement from that comprehension. More than anything, I love when students ask me "why?" - it shows me that they have reached beyond the desire to simply pass a test and are now questioning the underlying reasons behind the laws that govern the math and science of our world. I love seeing this curiosity blossom and fostering it through exploration and thought.

I've worked with students from a huge variety of backgrounds: graduate engineering students trying to brush up on fundamental skills, high schoolers on the autism spectrum looking for someone who can teach to their set of skills, young women and minorities who have been told their whole lives that their race or gender identity is the reason they're bad at math. Time and time again, I help my students reach their full potential and achieve the goals that they have set out for themselves.

Please don't hesitate to contact me! I'm happy to get started helping whenever you're ready.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with my Bachelor’s in Mathematics. I have tutored all levels of math from elementary addition and subtraction to differential equations and discrete mathematics.
Calculus

Calculus

I have tutored math of all levels since 2013. I specialize in (and adore) calculus, but I strive to drive home fundamentals that may be shaky from prior teachers. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my bachelors in mathematics from Boston University in 2015.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I took and earned an A in MA 231, an honors-level (proof-based) differential equations course at Boston University where I received my BA in mathematics. In my physics studies I have extensively applied my knowledge of differential equations to classical and quantum mechanics and electrodynamics, where the change of variables in space and time give rise to all the kinematic phenomena we see every day. When appropriate, I have tutored my colleagues in various topics in differential equations such as separation of variables, integrating factors, and Fourier and Laplace transformations. I am now a teaching assistant at Georgia Tech.
Discrete Math

Discrete Math

I took and earned an A in MA 293, a discrete mathematics course at Boston University where I received my BA in mathematics. In my physics studies I have applied my knowledge of discrete mathematics to statistical mechanics, where combinatorics define the probabilities of configurations of particles and lay the foundations of statistical distributions. When appropriate, I have tutored my colleagues in various topics in discrete mathematics such as set theory, counting, and propositional logic. I have tutored through the National Honor Society.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I received high marks in an honors (proof based) linear algebra course at Boston University, leading to a BA in math. In my physics studies I have extensively applied my knowledge of linear algebra to quantum and classical mechanics, where eigenfunctions of operators define the observed motion of our world. When appropriate, I have also tutored my colleagues in various topics in linear algebra such as matrix inversion, Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization, and unitary transformations.
Physics

Physics

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a BA in physics and just completed by MS at Georgia Tech. I'm now pursuing my PhD at Georgia Tech in fluid dynamics and nonlinear physics. I have 6+ years of experience as a teaching assistant for introductory physics classes at both institutions, and have tutored every level of physics from middle school to graduate school.
Quantum Physics

Quantum Physics

I have studied quantum physics at both the undergraduate and graduate level and excelled in every course. I apply quantum principles to help tutor chemistry students who want to delve deeper into the "why" of the atomic models that they are learning.

Best Teacher

Seriously, his explanations are clearer than any teacher I've ever had. He also poses questions that allow you to think for yourself and make those connections. I would definitely go to him if you ever need help in physics.

Patricia, 4 lessons with Logan

Excellent

He went through it piece by piece and was patient with her as she was figuring it out. He introduced her to more methods besides what her teacher showed. He also provides visuals as well.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Logan was a terrific tutor and so helpful the night before a big test. My son said he made trigonometry "click" finally in his head!! Money well spent! Thank you Wyzant!

Jennifer, 2 lessons with Logan

Very patient, helpful & flexible!

Logan is great. Works patiently to help & doesn't hesitate to go over complex topics. His quiet confidence helps boost confidence in understanding AP Physics.

Math and Physics Tutor - Excellent

Logan is an outstanding tutor. He helped my son with concepts of algebra in one session that exceeded what he learned in a whole semester.

MARCUS, 5 lessons with Logan

Insightful Tutor

Physics is one of those subjects that you have to have an extensive knowledge about what you're using and why you are using it. He definitely has an extensive knowledge and helps with understanding why you are implementing equations and the variables for the equations.
