Hello--

After 22 years in the graphic design field, my teaching career began in 1998 as a basic income tax course instructor. Two years later, upon a friend's suggestion, I became a substitute teacher in various public school systems. This experience afforded the opportunity to observe student academic progress and class management strategies. Six years later, I became a special education inclusion teacher, then an in-home tutor.

If you need someone with patience who can improve your child's reading and math scores--or--to help with basic accounting or income tax courses, please contact me.

Thanks for checking me out!

Drawing

Completed basic pencil and charcoal drawing, illustration, and black-and-white photography courses at Pratt Institute Brooklyn, NY in the 1970's. As a graphic designer, I produced magic marker comprehensive color drawings of consumer products. Later, as an art director, I worked with outside suppliers who were illustrators and photographers of consumer products. Would be happy to help develop basic to intermediate drawing and illustration skills at your convenience.

I passed the series 6 and the Series 63 test in 2001. I was a financial advisor (also a tax preparer) with H&R Block for almost one year. I did not renew my license or continue my financial advisement career other than tax preparation. I do trade stocks on a frequent basis (averaging 50 trades a year).

Tax Accounting

While working as a graphic designer in 1991, I started my tax career as a seasonal employee for a large tax preparation firm. Since then, I have developed my expertise from my personal and clients' tax issues. In 2014 I became an "enrolled agent", an individual who has nationwide authority to represent taxpayers before the IRS. I am able and willing to tutor in EA exam course preparation, individual and business tax return courses, and of course individual and business tax returns.

Great Math tutor

I met with Mr. Brian to teach my daughter math. I like his way of teaching my daughter with patience and how professional he was. He was trying to find what part in math she is good at and what part is struggling with. I loved the way how he taught my daughter because she is in special education. I hope to continue your service. 5*****.

Amazing tutor

Brian was amazing with my two girls. Myself and the girls are very happy to have him as their tutor. I was very surprised to see how my youngest daughter caught on with certain words.

Patient, kind, quality teaching

My husband and I say we are beyond blessed to have found Brian G. He takes time to explain, over and over if needed. He rewrites problems so that they are more easy to read. He understands my daughters weaknesses and knows exactly how to work with her. He is AMAZING!
