Completed basic pencil and charcoal drawing, illustration, and black-and-white photography courses at Pratt Institute Brooklyn, NY in the 1970's. As a graphic designer, I produced magic marker comprehensive color drawings of consumer products. Later, as an art director, I worked with outside suppliers who were illustrators and photographers of consumer products. Would be happy to help develop basic to intermediate drawing and illustration skills at your convenience.

As an inclusion teacher and substitute teacher, I have worked with individuals or small groups to reinforce material initially introduced by classroom teacher. I am certified in the following special education fields: T--SP ED general curriculum P-12 consultative, language arts cognitive level, math cognitive level, science cognitive level, and social studies cognitive level. My tutorial procedure is to review the lesson that was introduced by the student or teacher, divert to a related exercise for the purpose to monitor student retention, then go back to review or reinforce the lesson.

I passed the series 6 and the Series 63 test in 2001. I was a financial advisor (also a tax preparer) with H&R Block for almost one year. I did not renew my license or continue my financial advisement career other than tax preparation. I do trade stocks on a frequent basis (averaging 50 trades a year).

While working as a graphic designer in 1991, I started my tax career as a seasonal employee for a large tax preparation firm. Since then, I have developed my expertise from my personal and clients' tax issues. In 2014 I became an "enrolled agent", an individual who has nationwide authority to represent taxpayers before the IRS. I am able and willing to tutor in EA exam course preparation, individual and business tax return courses, and of course individual and business tax returns.

Intermediate Retirement

Prof. Brian taught me the underlying concepts of Intermediate Retirement class. He is patient and goes in great depth until you the student really understands the basic concepts and learns the ABC's of taxation. He is patient and well-adaptive. He is a great tutor and makes learning fun.
