I'm an experienced middle and high school teacher and math tutor from the UK, currently living in Miami. I tutor grades 6-12 in a fun, casual environment!

I graduated from Hull University in the UK with a Masters in mathematics, worked as a research engineer in the offshore engineering sector, and taught math in high school for 11 years. I specialize in boosting self-confidence, motivation, encouragement, and good exam technique, particularly for those learning Algebra 1 + 2, Calculus, Pre-calculus, College Prep, and preparing for their SAT and ACT exams.

As I have been teaching mathematics at varied age levels I can identify areas that a student will need to focus on, not only for the current course of study but to provide a good foundation for future steps in their mathematics career.

I have a reasonably flexible schedule, and am willing to provide discounts for 2+ hour sessions or group study. Please contact me for details.

Lee may be a bit more pricey but you won't have to waste time and money kissing all the frogs before you find your Prince. Your Prince is Lee. Patient, empathic, thorough, knowledgeable, and fun—that’s what you'll get. I am an old codger who made the crazy decision to come out of retirement to teach. I had to pass a statewide math competency exam. I hadn't opened a math textbook in 50 years. I didn't know an integer from an imbecile. Lee assured me I would pass on the first day. I thought he was nuts. I took the test yesterday. I passed. If he can get me to the finish line, he can help you surpass whatever your goals are.

My son learns a lot, and highly enjoys the lessons with Lee. He feels more confident now in Geometry. Lee was able to evaluate his knowledge of Algebra 1 as well. Moving on to Algebra 2 now. Two-hour sessions allow for just the right amount of learning. Highly recommend Lee!
