Qualifications for “discrete math”

Hi,

I'm a certified secondary math teacher from FIU. While I was going to school I was very lucky to have found a program that helped math teachers to become better teachers by tutoring us while we took the hard math classes and by giving us the opportunity to tutor other students after we took the class. I was able to learn at a deeper level since I had to be able to understand well enough to be able to explain it later. Discrete math was on of the subjects that I took and tutored. I believe there is an unlimited amount of learning available from any of these courses and tutoring for me is another way of learning along with the student. I got an A in the class and helped others pass the class.

Bio

I have been tutoring Math since I was in school myself. Everyone liked the way I explained things so they all wanted to study with me. And of course, I loved it. I wanted to be a Math Teacher but decided for an accounting major. In my early forties I went back to school and got my Teaching degree in Math. I enjoyed it so much I went back for my masters. I was born to teach. When I teach, I feel my best. I'm very patient and I'm constantly trying to find the best ways to explain different...

I have been tutoring Math since I was in school myself. Everyone liked the way I explained things so they all wanted to study with me. And of course, I loved it. I wanted to be a Math Teacher but decided for an accounting major. In my early forties I went back to school and got my Teaching degree in Math. I enjoyed it so much I went back for my masters.
I was born to teach. When I teach, I feel my best. I'm very patient and I'm constantly trying to find the best ways to explain different concepts. I put myself in the situation of the student. Time just flies when I teach. I go to any length to make sure the student understands.
I'm a Certified Secondary Math Teacher by the state of Florida and my certification is current.
I have over 35 years of experience in tutoring Algebra and Geometry.
I make the students do most of the work. I start with something simple and when that is completely understood I add more things to it. I make Math fun with real life examples and funny ways to memorize formulas.
