Hi! I am a undergraduate at the University of Florida majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I am passionate about tutoring because I love to help students work through challenging concepts and assignments. I have been there myself and having a friend help makes all the difference. My favorite subjects to tutor are SAT Math and the math fundamentals, such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. In high school, I studied the SAT for 9 months and took 4 individual tests, resulting in a final score of 1540. I know what "the grind" is like, and I look forward to helping any student improve his or her score if they want to improve it. Additionally, I took many Advanced Placement (AP) classes including Calculus AB, Chemistry, Statistics, Physics 1, Physics C Electricity and Magnetism and Physics C: Mechanics and scored 5s on all of them, except Physics C E&M and Statistics, which I got 4s on. I have a 3.77 GPA at the University of Florida.

I have tutored for 2 years, first at my high school with students in Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra 1 and 2. In college, I have been tutoring online with another platform and have focused on SAT Math tutoring utilizing KhanAcademy. My approach to tutoring is simple: practice! During our tutoring sessions, I like to give a brief explanation of the content we will be covering, and then the majority of the session is dedicated to guided practice. I will walk the student through how to tackle problems, what to look out for, and what shortcuts to take, all while ensuring the student is equipped with the fundamentals of the math they're working with. It's not about memorizing what steps to take, it's about why you take certain steps, and how to then recreate them to solve any problem!

Outside of academia, I enjoy meditating and going to church, reading philosophy (I am minoring in philosophy), hanging out with friends bowling or playing board games, practicing calisthenics, kayaking and hammocking on hot, sunny, Florida days.

I have significant experience working with Unity as a game dev platform and have released one game, among others still in development. I also am proficient in the Python language, and more importantly, understanding Python libraries to build games. In my Advanced Programming Fundamentals course at the University of Florida, we were required to remake the game Minesweeper.
