About George

Hi, I'm George.

I have been with Wyzant for approximately two years, and have a five star rating with families in Broward County, including: Boca Raton, Parkland, Del Ray Beach, Pompano, Deerfield, and more.

My expertise is Class Presentations, Public Speaking, Literature, Essays, English, Writing, Piano, Voice, and Guitar. My duties are in helping families achieve their goals with Wyzant.

A 3.8 GPA in High School, and a 3.8 GPA in College gave me the educational prowess to deliver the tools of success to the next generation, whom are striving for a better today, a better tomorrow.

Good grades are my goal for clients. Giving the student an appetite for learning is my approach focusing on building up weaknesses to round out the skill sets for each subject.

In short, the approach is Analyze, Assist, Develop: Identifying weak areas, solving the issues, and making the subject simple for success. I will even chart the grades and how to boost GPA, with a few easy tools.

If you need help with Class Presentations, Public Speaking, Music, Piano, Guitar, Voice, Writing, English, or Literature then lets get started building your bridge to the Goals you will achieve.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bible Studies

I studied the bible from kindergarten to 8th grade. I was raised in a private christian school, and memorized the books of the bible, the stories inside the books, as well as performed the stories as an actor in the school plays. I studied Old and New Testament, and even met well known experts on Christ in the world today.

I also got an A in Bible Studies : prerequisite for a religious college.

Hello, I'm George.

I teach guitar. I have taught at Parkland Music Academy, Bravo Academy, and Virtuous Productions.
I teach beginners, intermediate, advanced, and professionals. At Parkland Music Academy in 2012 under Rob Bassolino, I was the teacher of piano, voice, guitar, and bass. I managed the 10 teachers and taught the teachers how to teach. I was the administrator and head of guitar sales. At Bravo Academy in Boca Raton in 2013 I was piano, guitar, and voice instructor under Victor and Elena. At Virtuous Productions in 2013 i took the job as music director, teacher of acting, piano, guitar, and voice. A highlight was working with Kieth Garson, the director for the Wick Theatre.

I published a classical guitar piece I wrote and recorded for the billionaires Tony Lamont and Beryl Wolk for Better World Music in 2013. If you youtube Tony Lamont Better World Music, you will see the promotional for the compilation album. I also have performed as a solo act on guitar at jazz restaurants, such as Ma Sani Restaurant, under Chef Harold in Atlanta, during 2011.

The lessons center around the student; therefore, what songs you want to learn become the lesson for chords, scales, modes, theory, and more. Whether you like classical, jazz, country, blues, rock, flamenco, heavy metal, or anything you choose... let's get started.

Thank you,

I got all A's in College in English Literature, World Literature, Ancient Greek Literature, Roman Literature, as well as the corollaries to these being Creative Writing; therefore, proofreading by MLA standards, writing essays, poetry, and short stories. The analytical structuring of nouns, verbs, adverbs, clauses, qualifiers, prepositions, which are inside each sentence are essential to know as well. These were included in College courses of the aforementioned subjects mastered during higher education.

These grades and my enjoyment of Literature granted me the opportunities to work for both Borders Books and Music as customer service representative and bookseller, as well as an outfit called Chapter 11 Bookstore, therein being customer service representative too. I read 50 books a year, on average.

I tutor students how to write and how to get past writers block. In similitude, I teach students how to improve memory while reading literature: how to take notes, how to memorize using block lettering, how to find the sentence of the paragraph which all the other sentences elucidate inside the paragraph. All of which train the retention of what is read by each student.

I graduated College with honors, and even have a book signed by Harper Lee entitled, "To Kill A Mockingbird."

I began playing Classical Piano when I was 10. When I was 11 I won 4th in the state of Georgia for the state competition, which was between hundreds of Pianists.

I have taught Piano at Parkland Music Academy, Bravo! Academy, Virtuous Productions, and Elite Music, all located in South Florida. I also tune pianos.

Poker, whether it is 5 card stud, 5 card draw, 7 card stud or draw, Texas hold'em, blackjack, is a game I have always played with family, friends, strangers. My educational background is from entering tournaments for chips, going to Vegas to bet real cash, and online poker games for real cash.

I am a great teacher of how to shuffle the deck, how to bet, how to have a poker face, and how to read opponents "tells" , or body language that gives away whether the opponent has a good or bad hand.

I am also familiar other card games such as Hearts, Spades, Go Fish, etc.

Public Speaking

In Public Speaking, I was recognized in my public speaking class in College as having a great style: gaining attentive listening, providing memorable information, and persuading the audience to give credence to certain positions or beliefs held.

Also I was a part of Toast Masters in Boca Raton when I was 16 years old learning Public Speaking techniques and experience.

I have a vast knowledge of how to give speeches: where to look, the type of notes to prepare for the rostrum, and how to keep time during presentation of speech.

These skills are the reason that I perform live as a solo act in front of an audience every week, only instead of speeches I perform music. Yet the core basics of procedure are identical and therefore transferable and translatable to the other medium.

Lastly, being a manager of business in the past and holding a business meeting as a public speaker, I was successful in sales, relationship of distributors and customers, and company cohesion.

Voice (Music)

I have taught voice at Parkland Music Academy in 2012 where I instructed students on classical, theatrical, and pop singing. I was also accepted to teach vocals at Bravo Academy in Boca Raton, where I taught Broadway singing, blues and jazz singing, and creating lyrics to sing, as well.

I was hired as music director at Virtuous Productions in 2013 and taught classical, theatrical, pop, classic rock, country, jazz and blues, and rap vocals. In a live setting I have performed jazz vocals at a restaurant in Atlanta in 2011, as well as backup vocals for live bands in a multitude of restaurants around the Atlanta area. In Deerfield Beach I performed at a bar on December 11th in 2012.

I love to instruct all styles and custom design the lessons to the students interests.
