Very Family Oriented
Great tutor!! Always available. Anwar always provides prompt responses in a timely and efficient manner to our questions. He always has a very positive attitude towards my son and he is very happy with him too. He is also very flexible with tutoring hours. Anwar is always pleasant and very positive towards his student. He also understands my son's needs in special situations and is able to provide assistance and information for a broad spectrum of situations. Doesn't listen! Not for advanced students
My son came in with a specific set of notes and problems that he needed to go over to be better prepared for an exam. This is for high school AP physics class where he has an A. Rather than listening to my son to understand what he needed, Anwar simply bombarded him with basic problems that he already knew, never getting to the actual subject at hand and completely wasting his time. Anwar's answer to me was that it's better to teach them how to "fish" rather than catching the fish for them. Great proverb, however if he had stopped and actually listened to my son, there is a small chance that he would've understood that my son already knew how to "fish" and was there to learn how to "fillet" rather than "fish." Maybe his style works for those that come in with no knowledge and need the very very basics where something is better than nothing, but if you have a more advanced student who needs a higher level help, look for someone else.

We worked through practice SAT Physics Subject test questions and Mr. Anwar did a great job of teaching me in areas where I was unclear or had errors. I took the SAT Physics Subject Test and improved my score by 60 points to a 760!

Anwar tutored my daughter for two years in algebra, geometry and trig. In many cases he helped pull her grades up by two levels and was very thorough and knowledgeable and patient in explaining things to her.
