Hi, I’m Emma! I graduated from Cornell University’s College of Engineering with a B.S. in Operations Research and Engineering, along with minors in Dance and Business. Operations Research is all about using math, data, and logical thinking to solve real-world problems—so I’ve built a strong foundation in advanced mathematics, problem solving, and programming (especially in Python, R, and Java).
I’ve worked with students of all ages—from creating a custom curriculum for an elementary school student to tutoring high schoolers in engineering topics. At Cornell, I served as a Teaching Assistant and Peer Advisor in the engineering department, where I led review sessions, wrote example problems, hosted office hours, and helped students during labs. I love making challenging concepts click and helping students build confidence in their skills.
I have a consulting job starting in October, and in the meantime, I'm focusing on tutoring and working with students. My teaching style is interactive, encouraging, and personalized. I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace and interests—whether we’re working on calculus, debugging code, or prepping for a big test. I'm especially comfortable working with kids and teens and strive to make learning engaging and enjoyable.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson! I’m happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
